This November, around one thousand people from more than forty countries will gather at Bushiri Beach, united by one passion: beach tennis. You might wonder how we know. We cannot predict the future (though that would be nice!), but we do know the Aruba Open Beach Tennis Championships will take place, one of the largest and most prestigious competitions of its kind.
For us at Ocean Z, that comes as no surprise. Throughout the year, we have observed, and shared on our blog, how Aruba, a Lesser Antilles paradise, showcases its vibrant spirit through events like the Aruba International Regatta, where yachts and catamarans fill turquoise waters, and Hi-Winds, which draws wind and kite surfers from across the globe.
All of this excitement thrives under almost-perfect weather and endless shades of blue. So, whether you love your advantage points, enjoy watching the matches, or just want to soak in the atmosphere, let us show you how this celebration delivers thrill in every serve.

We can confidently say that the Aruba Open Beach Tennis Championships has grown significantly since it started in 2008 at Moomba Beach. Today, it has grown into a truly international event, held annually on the island’s west coast. The tournament attracts both professional and amateur players of all ages, who compete not only for fun but also for ranking points, prize money, among the highest in the sport, and the chance to show off their skills.
Its prestige is further reflected in the Hall of Fame, which honors past winners and includes stars like Italians Giulia Gasparri and Ninny Valentini, who currently share the number one spot in the global beach tennis rankings. Officially sanctioned by the International Beach Tennis Federation (ITF), the tournament has become a stage for top-ranked athletes and promises to showcase many upcoming big names.
