Between the beauty of Wariruri Bay and the quiet charm of Santo Largo, only a few places remain hidden gems for those who relish the eternal summer of Aruba. We are here to unveil some of them, as great waterfronts deserve to be shared. At Ocean Z Boutique Hotel, we promise that each one offers something unique, redefining what it takes to be among the best beaches in Aruba.

Beyond the main attractions: Aruba’s most tranquil beaches
Wariruri Beach

We begin our excursion at Arikok National Park, which covers 18% of Aruba‘s land. Once inside, we move northeast towards Wariruri Bay. Though off-the-beaten path and only 1.1 yards long, the beach that shares its name attracts both regular and sports fishing enthusiasts due to its rich marine life. Meanwhile, experienced surfers often choose it for its dramatic waves, shaped by the trade winds sweeping the island.
The Beaches of Aruba website advises swimmers and snorkelers to skip this site and go elsewhere. The reason? Its natural features and lack of services are not ideal for safely practicing these activities. But do not worry! Don’t let this discourage you from visiting and admiring its natural stone bridge, a structure that the more adventurous can climb or walk under. To get there, it is best to rent a 4×4 vehicle or join a horseback riding tour like this one.

Shark Bay

Many believe the best beaches in Aruba are only at the northern tip, a stone’s throw from the California Lighthouse, luxury boutiques and lavish restaurants. Shark Bay proves that affirmation is not entirely true. Located near the Noordkaap Trail and the Natural Bridge parking area, this beach is perfect for honing surf and bodyboarding skills, away from large crowds.
In typical east coast Aruba fashion, the waves are intense here. For beginners or those unfamiliar with the area, staying on the shore or the cliffs offers the best (and most secure) view. Travelers looking for a classic beach day, with ocean dips, sunbathing sessions, and umbrella breaks, can make a pit stop at Shark Bay before heading to Andicuri Beach. Despite being more popular, Andicuri still retains the wild, secluded atmosphere that defines the beach we have just explored.

Grapefield Beach

Now, we head to the Juana Morto neighborhood in San Nicolas until we reach Grapefield Beach. This sandy strip, with its golden sand and clear blue waters, often surprises travelers, even the seasoned ones! Of all these options, it is the most inviting for a relaxing day outdoors. Why, you might ask? It is excellent for swimming near the shore (just do not venture too far in!), having a picnic with homemade goods, or watching the sunset with good company.
If you are lucky enough to visit Grapefield Beach on a windy day (which happens very often on the Happiest Island of the Caribbean!), you will likely enjoy observing the kitesurfers and other athletes practicing in the sea with their colorful vests. Want more? Walk south to discover the beauty of Boca Grandi and, perhaps, Bachelor’s Beach.
The charm of the familiar and the unexplored
No restaurants, five-star resorts, high-end bars or sun lounger rentals. Just sand, sea and, occasionally, rugged, rocky cliffs that showcase nature’s power. These three overlooked locations should now be included in any itinerary highlighting the best beaches in Aruba.
We know Aruba hides many more secrets despite being small. Still, do not miss famous attractions like Eagle Beach, Palm Beach, and Malmok Beach. They have rightfully earned their reputation as some of the most beautiful in the Caribbean, according to platforms like TripAdvisor. Check out the free guide below to explore fun, tourist-friendly activities at each one of them.
