First, we need to answer a key question: What is this event all about? It is an annual gathering created in collaboration with ArtisA to promote creative expression and boost San Nicolas’s economy. The festival, which forms part of Art Week, operates as a non-profit. This means that all proceeds from its programmed activities go directly to the local and international artists involved. Naturally, they specialize in various disciplines, including painting, sculpture, mosaic, and muralism.
Each year, the fair follows a specific theme. After 2024’s “Activate: Rebel, March, Change”, this edition will focus on “Justice”. According to the official website, this topic invites attendees to explore “truth, equity, and transformation”. Visitors can expect to see works that “challenge norms and inspire the pursuit of a fairer world”.

As we mentioned earlier, the Aruba Art Fair happens in Sunrise City, San Nicolas’s affectionate nickname. This 8th edition, set run from September 3 to 5, will feature more than 100 artists spread across four immersive indoor galleries. But do not think all the excitement stays inside under bright spotlights. True to Aruban style, food trucks and pop-up restaurants will offer a wide range of dishes inspired by global cuisine. In other words, you won’t just enjoy the event’s creative energy. You will also embark on a culinary journey without leaving the Happy Island.

The Day Pass costs $15 per person, while the Weekend Pass is $20. Artists can register their performance or installation, just check the “Get Involved” section on the official website.
Art lovers can start exploring from September 1. That night, Art Week kicks off with Art Table, an outdoor activity where participants create their own pieces under the Caribbean sky while enjoying wine and conversations with like-minded people. Tickets are $100.
Those drawn to patterns, stitches, and original garments, should mark September 3 on their calendar.
