Why come to Aruba
There are many reasons why someone might want to visit this paradise. The main one is that Aruba is known for its pristine beaches.
The island has over 20 public beaches with crystal-clear waters and white sand. They include Eagle Beach, which has been named one of the best beaches in the world.
This stunning place is also known for the water sports that take place in Aruba’s clear waters. It’s an ideal destination for water activities such as snorkeling, scuba diving, windsurfing, kitesurfing, and more.
In addition to water sports, Aruba offers a wide range of outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, and horseback riding.
Something else you must add to your Aruba travel guide is exploring cultural experiences. The island has a rich history with influences from the Arawak Indians, Spanish, Dutch, and more. There are many historic sites to explore like the California Lighthouse, the Alto Vista Chapel, and the Aruba Aloe Factory.
And let’s not mention the vibrant nightlife scene with plenty of bars, clubs, and casinos to choose from.
Where is Aruba
Something you must be familiar with when you plan a trip to Aruba is, of course, where it’s located.
Aruba is a small island country situated in the southern Caribbean Sea, about 15 miles (24 kilometers) north of the coast of Venezuela. It is one of the four constituent countries that form the Kingdom of the Netherlands, along with the Netherlands, Curacao, and Sint Maarten.
Since Aruba is outside of the hurricane belt, it enjoys a warm, sunny climate all year round with a relatively low risk of tropical storms. It is a very popular tropical getaway with beautiful beaches, outdoor activities, and vibrant culture.
Best season to come to Aruba
Aruba has a tropical climate with consistently warm temperatures year-round, so there isn’t really a bad time to visit. However, the island does have two distinct seasons: a dry season from January to September, and a rainy season from October to December.
One of our Aruba travel tips is that the dry season is considered the best time to visit the island. The weather is sunny and warm with low humidity and very little rainfall.
In this season, temperatures during the day typically range from the mid-80s to the low 90s Fahrenheit, which is 29-33 degrees Celsius, and cool down slightly at night. This is the peak tourist season, so the prices are higher and the crowds larger.
The rainy season can still be a good time to visit Aruba. The island typically only receives brief showers rather than extended periods of rain. Temperatures during this time are similar to the dry season.
The only downfall is that there is a slightly higher risk of tropical storms during this period. Therefore, it’s important to keep an eye on the weather forecast.
Where to eat in Aruba
A section of our Aruba travel guide that we can’t forget about is the gastronomic one! The island has a wide range of dining options, but our favorite one is Ocean Z Restaurant. There’s nothing better than having yummy fresh dishes at your disposal all day long.
Ocean Z Restaurant is a popular dining spot, not only for our boutique hotel guests but for locals and Aruba visitors as well. We’re located in the Palm Beach area. Also, we offer an extensive menu of seafood, steaks, and other international dishes, with a focus on fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
In addition to the delicious food, we’re known for the stunning views of the Caribbean Sea you can have while dining. The restaurant has a spacious, open-air dining area with panoramic views of the water.
Not only that, but we also have a bar area where guests can enjoy cocktails and other drinks while taking in the view.
Ocean Z Restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and offers a variety of dining options, including a la carte and prix fixe menus. We also host special events and private dinners, weddings, and other celebrations.
Where to stay in Aruba
Choosing where you and your loved ones will be staying when visiting is, we dare say, the most important part of your Aruba travel guide. You must pick a place with a wide range of accommodations to suit different preferences.
A place that tends to your vacation needs, located near the white sand and clear waters. It must also have easy access to the city’s attractions, historic sites, shopping, and dining.
We know a place that checks all of these boxes, and it’s Ocean Z Boutique Hotel!
